| EVENT 1 – Best In Show | Build a MOC* or MOD* a train to be voted for best in show. It can be a single engine to a full train. |
| EVENT 2 – Golden Spike | Build a track in an allotted time. |
| EVENT 3 – Train Tag | Catch the train on front of you while avoiding the one behind. |
| EVENT 4 – Fastest Train (Modified) | MOC* or MOD* a train to reach incredible speeds on the circular track. |
| EVENT 5 – Up & Over | Race on a figure 8 track with an up and over bridge, and plenty of corners to challenge you while racing with an opponent. |
| EVENT 6 – Demolition Derby | Race on a figure 8 track with an intersection that might leave you “cross”, be first to finish or take your opponent out for the win. |
| EVENT 7 – Heavy Hauler | Race with an opponent on the figure 8 track hauling supplied heavily weighted rolling stock up and over the bridge. |
| EVENT 8 – Train Relay | A classic train relay race. |
| *MOC = My Own Creation. Any LEGO creation designed and built by a LEGO fan without instructions *MOD = a MODification of an existing set |
Basic Rules for BrisBricks Big Train Day:
- Any disputes will be decided by the organising sub-committee
- All protests must be written on the back of a $100 note [non-refundable]
- You provide your own batteries [ 9V motors might have a bit of trouble on plastic track ]
- In each event, your loco must look like a real train
- Building elements must be genuine LEGO bricks
- Points will be awarded for the place-getters in each event
