As we got closer to the end of 2018 and as it has been a tradition for years, BrisBricks invited its members to its Christmas
The Mindstorms workshop was jam packed with interactive learning about the various sensors, motors and control aspects of of the Mindstorms EV3 robotics kit. By the end of the night, the young Padawan robotic engineers had programmed a robot that roamed around avoiding running into walls or falling off tables, talked and had a motorised grabbing claw.
This July, two hours of build time were dropped on a bunch of AFOLs like a ton of bricks. There was no shortage of LEGO to build, nor was there a shortage of great conversation.
The May family social night was themed “Surprise build challenge” and had members build an animal then a mode of transport. There were some great entries and some happy winners of the competition.
